What is Embroidery?

Embroidery is the art of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle and thread or yarn on various items, such as clothing, hats, bags, leather, and other fabric materials. The design can be created using a variety of colors and thread types. Custom embroidery is often used for branding purposes by businesses and organizations, as well as for creating one-of-a-kind gifts or promotional items.

The feel of embroidery can vary depending on the type of fabric, thread, and stitching used in the design. In general, embroidery can add texture and dimension to a piece of fabric, making it feel slightly raised or textured to the touch. The type of thread used can also affect the feel of the embroidery, with thicker or heavier threads feeling more substantial to the touch.

Our state of the art embroidery machines can customize up to 10 garments at once, with 8 unique colors.

What is DTG & DTF Printing?

Direct to garment (DTG) printing and direct to film (DTF) printing are both methods of printing designs onto various substrates, such as textiles, using specialized printers. Both options offer high-quality, detailed prints and are ideal for customization.

DTG printing involves using a digital inkjet printer that directly applies water-based ink onto the fabric. This process is often used for printing full-color images or complex designs onto t-shirts, hoodies, and other garments. DTG printing is ideal for producing small batches or one-off prints, as it offers a quick and cost-effective method of customization.

DTF printing, on the other hand, involves printing a design onto a thin, transparent film using a specialized printer. Once the design is printed, it is transferred to the garment using a heat press. DTF printing is typically used for printing onto fabrics that cannot be printed with DTG, such as dark-colored or synthetic materials. It is also commonly used for printing on accessories such as hats, bags, and shoes.

What are Custom Patches?

Custom patches are embroidered designs or symbols that are created to represent a specific group, organization, or individual. They are typically made of thread and fabric, and can be attached to clothing, bags, hats, and other items using a variety of methods, such as sewing or ironing.

Embroidered patches can be designed to represent a wide range of groups and organizations, such as military units, sports teams, motorcycle clubs, and businesses. They can also be used to create unique and personalized items for individuals, such as custom name patches, memorial patches, or patches that represent personal interests or hobbies.

What is Silk Screening?

Silk screening, also known as screen printing, is a high quality printing technique that involves creating a stencil, or “screen,” and using it to apply ink onto a substrate, such as fabric, paper, or plastic. The stencil is created by blocking out areas on a fine mesh screen, leaving only the areas where ink should be applied.

To create a silk screen print, the screen is placed over the substrate, and ink is applied to the top of the screen. A squeegee is then used to press the ink through the screen and onto the substrate, creating the desired print. The process is repeated for each color in the design, with a separate screen created for each color.

It is commonly used for printing on textiles, such as t-shirts, as well as for printing posters, stickers, and other promotional materials.

What is Photo Transfer?

A photo transfer shirt is a type of t-shirt or other garment that has an image or photograph transferred onto it using a special transfer paper and heat. This process is often used to create custom t-shirts, as it allows people to create personalized designs featuring their own photos or artwork.

There are different methods and materials that can be used for photo transfer onto shirts, such as iron-on transfer sheets or heat transfer vinyl. The quality of the transfer can vary depending on the type of transfer method used, the quality of the image, and the quality of the garment onto which the transfer is applied.

What is Vinyl Heat Transfer?

Vinyl heat transfer is a process of transferring vinyl designs or lettering onto a substrate (such as fabric, paper, or even wood) using heat and pressure. The vinyl material used in heat transfer is typically a thin, flexible plastic material with an adhesive backing. These vinyl designs are then placed onto the substrate and heat is applied to activate the adhesive, causing the vinyl to permanently stick to the surface.

Vinyl heat transfer is commonly used in creating custom t-shirts, tote bags, hats, and other apparel items. There are different types of vinyl heat transfer materials available, such as glitter, holographic, and matte finish, to name a few. The type of vinyl used will depend on the desired aesthetic and the specific application.
